Discusses Milan's improvisation; Narvaez's polythematic fantasias; Mudarra's non-imitative fantsasias; Valderrabano's parody fantasias; Pisador's fantasias with and without canti firmi; Fuenllana's monothematic and polythematic fantasias; Daza's polythematic fantasias, and the Ramillete fantasias. The appendix includes the fantasias for vihuela by Esteban Daza, although this part did not arrive when I ordered the dissertation from Dissertation Express.
